Red Rock Grill - Springdale

Just terrible. this could be a great place to eat, given its magnificent view of the park and the opposing mountain chain. but somehow they screwed it up. you would expect to sit and order eating in a normal restaurant and just relax. at red rock grill it works like an almost food meal: they wait first in a waiting queue at the entrance, then choose them and pay for their food and drink at the theke, finally they get a table to which the food is delivered. if you want to order a dessert or a second round beverage, you need to go back to the entrance, just like mcdonald’s. After we tried to dinner, whose food quality was simply good, but not great, we made the mistake and returned for her breakfast. that was even more ridiculous: not only that they had to order all their drinks at the entrance, but their overpriced buffet also didn't include a dead or brot! incredible, we were asked to pay extra for it. lol. what a shame. zion np is brilliant, but why did they let an incompetent restaurant company pamper the holiday experience of its guests?

5/23/2022 3:12pm. Disappointing. Party of 4 for lunch after a long day outside. Carson greeted us warmly and was very helpful in helping us choose our meals. Not busy. 2 tables inside and 2 outside besides us. Only saw 3 staff members bringing out food and clearing tables. And then we waited, and waited. Didn't see any staff at all during this time. No one comes by to ask if we need anything. No one. After a half hour with not even getting our beverages I found Carson and asked what was up. Turns out the order never got to the kitchen due to a computer glitch. Ok it happens. Beverages arrive. Finally food shows up and not good. Grotto Chicken was dry, 3 Zion Burgers overcooked and cold. Fries cold. Tasted like it had been in the kitchen for 30 minutes. I spoke with Carson. She offered to replace the chicken with the salad bar. We just ate the burgers as we were so hungry at that point. The couple at the table next to us (who were there when we arrived) still hadn't received their food. $65 (soda water is $2.75, interesting). Next time we'll choose the snack bar or just go into town.

Carefully cooked food. Very much appreciate it that they cooked for us when we arrived at 8:57pm, 3 mins before the close time. Thank you folks!

It's the only outlet available in the evening with limited offerings. The food is fair and the service is good.

We stopped here at the Lodge after a morning of hiking. The breakfast buffet was good and reasonable price. Everything was hot and tasted pretty good. We would go back.
