Donatella's Alfresco Ristorante Pizzeria

Step back in time with a visit to Donatella's! This restaurant offers traditional Australian Italian cuisine that is sure to satisfy your cravings. The ambiance is reminiscent of a dodgy 80's mafia movie set, making it a perfect spot for a themed dinner date. I was intrigued to try Donatella's due to my love for Michelangelo, and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious pizza. The crust was perfect, the toppings were tasty, and there was plenty of cheese. It's safe to say that Michelangelo would give his seal of approval.

This charming family-run restaurant offers a very traditional dining experience. I decided to try the fettuccine Zingara, which was described on the menu as a dish featuring prawns, mushrooms, and garlic in a creamy white wine sauce. The dish effectively turned out to be garlic prawns, served with a complimentary Margarita pizza. The freshly made pizza had a perfectly cooked base and flavorful sauce. The pasta dish was filled with fresh prawns, mushrooms, and garlic, and the sauce had the right consistency, clinging nicely to the pasta. While the pasta was cooked to al dente, it could have used a bit more flavor. Overall, I have visited this restaurant before and was satisfied enough to return, but I hope to see some improvements in the future, such as painting and refurbishing the establishment, updating the tablecloths and placemats, and adding more seasoning to the cooking water.

The pizza was fantastic and the veal with mushrooms was perfect. The staff was friendly and we had a great experience overall!

Charming!!. This is a charming little Italian restaurant for a casual relaxed meal!The atmosphere is inviting and friendly and the family that own the restaurant are such nice people, very attentive and they actually care whether or not you enjoy your meal : I've taken away many times, their pizzas are so traditional tasting, my favorite is mushroom pizza with extra garlic and half cheese... omg! Sensational.You'll love this place.
