China Buffet - South Plainfield

My family enjoys going there all the time! Service is great, food is hot. We just love it

I can't believe this buffet is still open for 20+ years. The quality of the food is still as good as it was. It was a crowded Sunday, which I am very pleased with. Great value. I saw people bringing their own wine, so BYOD is allowed. I wish this place can be renovated though. Atmosphere feels a little dark. There can be too many people getting food and could pose a safety risk by bumping into other customers. But that guarantees that fresh cooked food are replenished very often.

All of the food here tasted very strange. And there are not many options. They also have a white fish labeled as salmon when it isn’t. Everything just tasted so off and weird- I picked at everything but nothing was actually good. As soon as we sat down with dessert we were given the bill as well. Don’t come here, go to the hibachi supreme buffet a few minutes away- same price and way better food and service.

Get something to the level you need... It's beautiful

Very good food for the price. Maybe a bit more of a variety would be ok. Mashed potatoes with gravy and baked sweet potatoes would be nice. but nice overall. I'll be back. Thanks
