Win Chef - South Gloucestershire

This was my first time trying this Chinese restaurant. The chips and curry sauce were tasty, but the chow Mein was very dry and seemed to have been reheated. I probably wouldn't dine here again.

The food at this restaurant was heated in a microwave and served piping hot. This was evident in the lumpy and sticky texture of the fried rice, which should have been light and fluffy. The main dish was also served quickly, which is unusual for freshly prepared food. This practice started a few months ago and has not changed since. In addition, the prices have increased while the quality of the food has decreased. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

The chili beef and salt and pepper wings were fantastic. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was also quick, even on a Saturday. They accept credit cards for orders over £5, possibly £10.

Staff who took our order friendly enough but the food was pretty bad to be honest, undercooked chips, chewy tasteless chicken and very bland special fried rice,dark brown curry, three of us working up this way and all had a takeaway which we took to separate rooms so it wasn’t until morning that we discussed and all came up with the same opinion. Saving grace was the toffee banana which was good.

Cost and contents of family set menu for 4 was good and most of it was ok but meat in sweet and sour was inclined to be tough. The chicken in the chicken with ginger and spring onions was under cooked for us.
