Blooming' onion had good flavor but was very underdone and underbreaded--hard to even pull apart to eat. The petite tenderloin was maybe 4oz and had a mushy texture. Corn on the cob was way over cooked, chewy and flavorless. Weirdly, my son's chicken tenders were the best part of dinner, which isn't saying much for a steakhouse. We didn't want fast food after road tripping, but maybe arctic circle would have been better.
Multiple issues. We came in at 11 and we were told we couldn't order off the lunch menu until 12. Okay so ordered breakfast. Then the waitress comes back and tells us that they didn't have enough steak so would one of us order from the lunch menu. Okay we will go with that. After waiting an hour and multiple groups coming through and leaving before us we finally got our food. Pictured about is a part of a medium cooked steak. All of the steaks were burnt. 1/2 through our party getting our food they started serving french fries instead of hashbrowns. Biscuit and gravy with French fries. That makes sense. Overall disappointing experience and we left hungry.
This is prime beef! They have multiple steak offerings, but I quickly settled on the ribeye that the chef custom hand cuts to your thickness preference. So what I wound up with was an inch a half thick, about 20 oz., rare, free range grass fed beef ribeye that was well seasoned, cooked as ordered, and truly incredible! Sure, I would have loved to have paired this with a good red wine, but they had one of my favorite beers on hand, Grand Teton Amber, that sufficed quite nicely. I was so busy devouring the steak, I barely missed the wine. I can tell you that a custom hand cut steak like this would easily run you 3 5 times more in a big city steakhouse, and I have NOT had one better than this. So for a steak lover like me, this was a great value.
Have yet to have a good meal there. Tough steak each time.
Dave at Diamond Heart Cattlemen's Steakhouse went above and beyond for me, making and delivering food for 25 people. He was wonderful to work with and the food was delicious!
