Bidrage med feedbackUnfortunately a disappointing visit. I booked the table 2 months in advance as the evening was for a special birthday celebration, which I advised upon booking. The table wasn’t ready on arrival and the seats were still wet from cleaning when we were shown to the table. It took 45 mins for someone to take our drinks order. 30 mins later (after chasing a few times) we were informed that the particular wine was not available but a bottle twice the price was. We ordered an alternative, to then 10 mins later be told this also wasn’t available. A further 10 mins on we were then served the original bottle we ordered. Food order and service was very slow. The Buddha bowl edamne was still frozen. Nothing was done to acknowledge that is was a special celebration. I have been to Chi previously which was an extremely positive experience which is why I’d booked again. The restaurant seemed very short staffed and under a lot of pressure.
My dining experience was not enjoyable. It was noisy and the process of ordering food was terrible. It seemed like take away orders were given priority, and the staff informed us that they could not guarantee all of our ordered food would come out together. Instead, each dish arrived separately, which was not ideal for the 4 of us who wanted to share. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant.
We went to this restaurant for a girls' night out and had a fantastic time. The food was incredibly delicious and there was plenty of it. The staff were polite and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. The bill at the end of the evening was very reasonable. We highly recommend this place for dining and we're already looking forward to our booked bottomless brunch.
We visited this restaurant for the first time in November 2021 and had a great experience. However, this time around it was terrible. The food was awful and we felt so disappointed that we ended up taking it home just to throw it away. I definitely will not be returning. I can see why people are leaving their jobs there. Additionally, the automatic service charge is unacceptable.
We visited on a Tuesday evening term time at 8pm. We counted 8 uncleared tables and when we were waiting for the bill, 6 of those were still there. When it first opened we visited and it felt like a premium experience. You were greeted professionally, served a drink quickly and given prawn crackers. The lights werent quite so bright. This time it felt like somewhere you popped into for a feed after shopping instead of a destination restaurant. Food was good, but didn't feel as if we'd had a date night due to the service and atmosphere.
