The Vogazi Tavern - Siteia

Very cosy place near the sea in a small village. Excellent atmosphere listening to the waves crushing at the shore, with Greek music in the background. The owners are very polite and welcoming, food very tasty and fresh.

The view, the atmosphere, the lovely/friendly/funny owner and waiter, the food and wine… this is heaven! Literally heaven! We don‘t want to leave but we have to. Hopefully, one day we can come back and enjoy the freshly caught fish again.

We took a trip here from Elounda just to sample the food and weren't disappointed. Fabulous hospitality and really fresh tasty food. We had tsatziki to start, which was full of flavour. Then we had sea bream and red snapper; both chosen from the ice box and cooked to perfection. Great chips and a super fresh Greek salad completed the main. The meatballs in tomato sauce were a hit with our little one. We then had an amazing piece of warm apple cake with some greek yoghurt and a fruit compote to finish the meal perfectly. What a great place and really friendly staff. Oh don't try to send your plate back with any fish left on the bones. The staff will take great pleasure in showing you where you can find some more.
