Bidrage med feedbackWent here tonight for what we thought was going to be an average Piedmont dinner. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised! Everything from the home baked integral bread to the chilled zabalone regalo drink was superb. Couldn’t have asked for or enjoyed a more spectacular dinner. They have taken typical dishes like Vitelli tonnato or risotto with black truffles and made them extraordinary. Hope they are successful in this undertaking as they truly deserve it.
We had the pleasure of eating at Luna several nights and the food and service is top notch. I had the tortellini tonight as one of my courses and it was fantastic and I could have been satisfied with only this but you can’t stop there. Everything we ate was really great and satisfying. Our server Vittorio spoke great English and helped us dial in our orders plus he was hilarious and in tune with what were craving. Thanks Luna!
This place is open since more than 50 years, run by 2 brothers and the wife in the kitchen! From outside, one wouldn’t be attracted to go and dine. The decoration is basic and probably could need a refresh, but extremely clean. There is no menu and the plates arrive combined to different wines. It’s one of the best restaurants Ive ever eaten. Excellent quality local speciality and almost everything is covered by a layer of truffles (white or black depending on the dish). The two owners are amusing and very professional. We had like 3 antipasti, 2 entrance, a main dish and a dessert. I really highly, highly recommend this place and i hope I will go back before they stop their activity. Amazing fair price for the quality, quantity of truffles and of different good wines and spirit of the region. If you appreciate good food, forget the fancy places and go to this place. A rare jewel.
What a wonderful restaurant in the little town of Sinio!! We enjoyed a truly outstanding, multi-course meal – rabbit terrine, veal tartare, peppers with local cheese, local sausage, local pasta, stewed beef, and a wonderful mixture of items for desert. As you can see from the preceding description, it was a meal of local, traditional specialties. Very unique and all very good. We also enjoyed a bottle of dolcetto to round-out a perfect meal. [We enjoyed the wine so much that we bought a case and shipped it home via Mail Boxes etc. To top off the experience, our host/waiter (Giuseppe) and the chef (Marilena) were very charming. We may have understood only 75% of what was said, but it was great fun to learn about their family, the local food and wine, their USA car, etc. We are big fans of the Langhe/Piemonte, and surely look forward to our return visit to Ristorante Luna in 2019. Be sure to check on availability, reservations recommended.
The fixed menu featured local specialties and just kept coming so much food and amazing value for an evening of dining and relaxing in a warm and inviting restaurant. Good, hearty, authentic dishes and warm and gracious service from the brother in laws, they provided entertainment with good humor, between them bridging our poor Italian!
