Sunshine Cafe - Silverthorne

Amazing food, amazing service. Had the cinnamon roll and it was fluffy and flavorful. Cute restaurant and not a very long wait at all. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Will definitely be returning!

Our experience at sunshine Café was great! Our server Claudio was super attentive and nailed all the details of our order! When we sat the staff also realize we'd be much more comfortable at a bigger table, so they moved our group quite quickly without us asking. I ordered the huevos rancheros with added bacon, and the green chili on top. The meal was killer and I highly recommend not having to drive down the mountain after eating this because a nap would've been much better. I also had a spicy **** Mary Which came with a pickle, some banana, peppers and bacon in it. My only qualm with anything at this meal is that my bacon was at the bottom of the **** Mary, which was kind of wet and congealed. Would have been much better if it were on top! We had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table at sunshine Café and it was definitely worth it. Will be back in the future for any other mountain weekends! Our groups split a couple of cinnamon rolls, which were wildly good. I think it was cream cheese frosting, but it was so rich and creamy, and the roll itself was super fluffy and absorbed the frosting perfectly. The cinnamon rolls are huge so definitely recommend splitting one if you're getting it with any other food!

This place was really busy on a Sunday morning. We got seated with in 20min which was great but once we sat down and ordered it took about 40 min to get our food. The cinnamon roll was good but I don't if that was because we were hungry or it was tasty. Overall the food average. Having to wait a really long time for made the experience much lower than my initial expectations.

Love the adorable vibes of this local diner. Staff was very friendly. Their menu is inclusive of all diets and preferances. There's breakfast and lunch options. I started with a French vanilla cappuccino which was great but very, very sweet. Towards the bottom of the cup I had to add water to dilute it so it wouldn't taste like straight up syrup. For a main, I opted for the corned beef hash breakfast with a side of biscuit. Everything was delicious and made fresh. The corned beef was just the right amount of savory and joy overt salty or oily. My eggs were perfectly over easy as I ordered. The hash browns were light and the biscuit was fluffy. Perfect fuel before the winter activities!

We went here on a Sunday morning unsurprisingly but still frustratingly a mistake. We were told it would be about a 15 minute wait but it was actually over half an hour, not the end of the world.. but the worst part was waiting over an hour for our food! Especially because the table next to us had a different waiter he provided them a complimentary cinnamon roll when we got there before them. Granted, we already ordered a cinnamon bun but it would have been a very appreciated gesture to comp it or anything really. The food itself was a large portion tasty. It's cute that they put an orange slice with every entree. It was simply not worth all the waiting though.
