Down East Fish Market & Restaurant

Been coming here since I was 8 years old, 31 now! Down east is the BEST! Can satisfy my crazy husbands need for autentic heat and spice while I get my always fried perfect Halibut. Down east NEVER disappoints!

Rangoon is amazing. Veggie tempura was cooked well but the dipping sauce was harsh, too tangy. Chicken teriyaki was perfect.

Some of the best Chicken Fried Rice. Great portions too.

First- the Spiced Chai(BLENDED) is amazing! If youve never ordered from here, a heads-up that despite it being in the Bubble Tea section it doesnt come with the Boba unless you add it, so if you want that be sure to select it. Still very good without it though! Second- the portions are huge. Like, "itll take me a few days to eat this" huge. Last- the food. Holy gods, the food. The Gyoza is perfectly cooked, soft where its supposed to be and crisp otherwise. The rice is just the right amount of sticky, and the Chicken Teriyaki is one of the few Ive had that arent overly salty. Overall, amazing. Definitely ordering again!

I have a mixed review here. The food came extremely hot and fresh, but I was missing an item and every single thing tasted fishy for some reason. I am not big on fish, so this is an issue for me. You definitely get a large amount of food and it is very fresh at least. Maybe theres something they can do in the cooking procedures to alleviate the taste of fish into everything? Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
