My favourite place to eat! nice eating always, friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere!

Family dinner on a Sunday and it all went smoothly attentive service good food and good value what more they want.

The steak and ale pee was amazing and the chocolate brownie

5 of us for Sunday Lunch...6 if you include a small dog. One of the party was only able to walk with a frame, and The Blue Ball staff made all of us very welcome and were helpful finding a table where we could accommodate the dog and the parked Zeimer Frame. The food was Very Good , three of us having the roast beef and two the roast chicken. The menu is not as huge as it once was, but there was plenty to choose from. Drinks in Pubs these days seem to be pricey . A smallish single person 's bottle of strawberry flavoured cider was £5-40. But then according to the label it had come all the way from New Zealand! You have to take your hats off to the marketing team who mamaged to get a DEVONSHIRE Pub selling cider from New Zealand! Not Outstanding and not a cheap day out, but in line with prices these days. All of us would recommend The Blue Ball.

Overall we had a lovely meal. Our only complaint was that the steak and ale pie contained only 2 very small chucks of steak! It tasted delicious but paying £15.50 for delicious pastry and gravy is not ideal. Service was great. All waiting staff were attentive and service was good.
