Great restaurant, but y'all really need to update your prices online. $5.95 for a sandwich? Not anymore lol

Panes Bread Cafe is a cute brunch spot and bakery located off Sheffield. The food is all really reasonably priced and extremely delicious. The portion sizes are wonderful too. For some reason, the decor is part Iowa Hawkeyes fan part Hispanic culture, but it really works. Highly recommend anyone stop by.

Food is solid, so that’s a good start. They also take card now.

In a city full of eating options this is consistently great food and they have been doing it for a very long time. No doubt some of the best sandwiches in the city. Warm fresh bread and ingredients. Tasty!!! They focus on what they do best. I love the Pompazo and my wife goes for the Chicken Club. Definitely get the garlic potatoe salad.
