Shire's great food, great service but it would seem if you give a tip in cash the staff get it if you pay by card and give tip on card then it goes into management after finding this out I find it unfair on the young waitresses not getting what they are owed. Such a shame after a lovely meal we won't be going again as I find this disgraceful I do hope people read this and make a point of leaving a tip in cash. This is an unusual place. The carpark is nowhere near the entrance and the inside is a bit like a caravan park club house. The usual pub grub menu but nice food, well presented. Decent range of drinks and friendly staff. Maybe in summer when there is a chance to sit at the outdoor tables and there are a few more folks about ... Toilets were clean. It was my aunt's 90th birthday meal with 11 of us. The staff went the extra mile to make her feel special. They gave her a small bottle of prosecco and put a giant sparkler on her cake.
