True Food Kitchen - Scottsdale

9 out of 10 times here is very good, service was extremely slow, quite a few tables unused, patrons around us all also waiting on slow service, seemed enough staff in back of house but wasn't translating to the floor, usually good though

First, our server was wonderful. She was friendly, efficient and helpful when we had questions. Second, the food was delicious! My friend had a burger plate and I had the quinoa salad. She said her burger was great, and she ate the entire thing. My quinoa salad was the best I ever had! Big portion, but totally finished it! Always have a great experience here.

True food is a usual go to for me. That's no longer the case. After sitting down, I ordered a lemonade which took 20 minutes to arrive. Our guac was ok, we ran out of chips fast and requested more which didn't arrive until after we were almost halfway through our entrees. My steak and entire entree was cold but I figured sending it back would be another half hour. I servicer was slow and lost, and told us he would take the lemonade and guac off the bill, which he did not. We pointed this out to him, which he then claimed to fixed but was never corrected on our bank account. With so many good places to go, I doubt I will return to true food. A very low value meal when the service is below standard.

We enjoy True Food so much that we eat here weekly for a date night. The food, service and ambience are excellent. Our experience last night was a one-off, where the table service (serving food, removing dishes; etc. was quite slow despite the restaurant at 70ish capacity.

When we arrived on time, on a cold evening, for our reservation we were told there was only seating outside. I had already seen the reviews online about people being forced to sit outside on cold evenings and the staff not turning on the outdoor heaters. I stated that I had made reservations in advance and that I did not request to sit outside. They found us a table indoors where there were other available tables. The pizza was also not very good with cold red sauce and only a little bit of mozzarella cheese. We won't be going back.
