schmidt bakery and cafe - Schwabach

We come to bakery and order a pizza, get it when ready, take a table and finish our meal. Go back to the counter and they will not serve us desert now, you need to use a waitress to order. Apparently at 6:00... they change, a little strange. The food was good.

Schmidt Bakery and Café is conveniently situated next to the Holiday Inn Express. As downtown Schwabach is on a challenging distance on foot, Schmidt comes to the rescue for a value for money dinner after a day in the car which terminates at the Holiday...Inn Express. Schmidt is more than a bakery or café. The establishment is very versatile with a German bakery section, a section where you can order various sandwiches, rolls and pasta dishes, but there is also a section with a wood fired pizza oven. Inside is a spacious seating area, and there is also an outdoor seating area, popular when the weather is clement. We ordered both a tasty dish and a drink at the counter, however, when we enjoyed our food, we noticed that table service came slowly into operation; this had maybe to do with the start of the evening menu. It was confusing, but the food and drinks were OK and prices very reasonable. To be recommended.

Very busy cafe, but good food: cheeseburger with roasted potatoes, red-pepper soup with sour cream, spaghetti bolognese, mango sunday.

After staying at the hotel next door this place was convenient. Ended up eating here several times from the bakery and restaurant. Food was fresh, with a good variety to choose from. The menu had lots to choose from, and everything I had for appetizers,...mains and deserts were all good.

In the HIX hotel they have no restaurant but the Schmidt Bakery has good food in the afternoon and in the morning you can take sandwiches with you. We were there two times and the last time we found out that after 18.00 it is...a normal restaurant. We surely will come backand we can advice everyone to eat there.
