Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I stayed here a couple nights while visiting beautiful Snowy Range. I'm only giving four stars because I think they should have a small frig in the room and access to a microwave to reheat your leftovers of the delicious pizza you get at their brewery. Yes, it's a historical place which you can clearly see in the pictures. They offer things like the hot springs heated pool that is very comfortable even in chilly weather. The river runs right through it if you're any kind of fisherman and it's one of the best trout rivers in the country, they have a really nice golf course, right across the street you can rent four-wheelers and other rec vehicles, and there are also a lot of quaint cafe's and touristy shops in a short distance. Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine, the staff was very nice and accommodating. It's an old timey mountain lodge motif every where you look with leather couches, fireplaces and chess boards. I've read a lot of complaints that it's not just like the Holiday Inn...no, it's not. If this is the kind of unique experience you're looking for then you'll have a great time.
We stopped here yesterday for breakfast and found the place very busy with insufficient staff. We found enough to eat at the breakfast buffet even though they were struggling to restock it after a very large group had finished. The lone waitress was really working hard and doing the best possible under the circumstances. This is a nice place and I hope management is able to improve their performance. Don't stay here if you want to sleep. The walls are very thin. The first thing you get when you enter your room is ear plugs. The pizza at the restaurant taste like it was frozen and they put it in an oven. The beer was good. BOTH of the treadmills were not working. The fitness facility is old and not kept up. When someone closed a door for their room the row of rooms shakes. This is a motel and definitely not worth the price they charge.
We have stayed here quite a few times so we knew that it's not the cleanest, newest or fanciest place. But this time we got room a king suite, because the two-bed rooms were sold out. The pull out mattress on the sofa bed was horrid. Literally my children were falling into the middle of it. The room is on a corner where everyone walks by constantly to enter the main building, so blinds need to be closed at all time to avoid being on display like a zoo animal, which makes the sofa room really sad and dark. In addition, people smoke cigarettes right there so windows must remain shut unless you enjoy second hand smoke. On a typical lovely cool early summer night, windows open is a treat, so that was a disappointment. The bathroom desperately needs an update. It's on the verge of being scary. Lastly, the restaurant used to have pretty good food but dinner was terrible. Tasteless, lukewarm food. Cheese-like substance on the nachos. Stomach was upset all night after eating here. Gave two stars because the staff is nice and we love the hot pools. Oh, and the best part is we paid over 350 bucks for this room. We have paid less to stay in a luxury hotel in Vegas. Next time we are checking out another hotel and using the free Hobo hot pools instead.
Everything was great. Gave a four star because once it started getting packed you could tell the service slowed down. So needs more help cover that. Food was great and our server was also.
