Los Blasones - Santillana del Mar

First, the restaurant was empty (today lunchtime , 24 July 2023, yet they insisted on seating me by the entrance to the toilets. They didn’t have my fist choice on the menu, so I chose sirloin steak, cooked Al punto (pink in the middle, but given this is Spain, it’s often undercooked, as this example was. However, the main problem was that the steak served with fries and three padrón peppers had not been rested at all. It arrive with a puddle of blood on top. The blood proceeded to leech all over the plate. My observation was met with a shrug. No apology, no discount. So, just avoid going here. The chef doesn’t know the basics of cooking and it’s is all very poor. I would have given zero stars if possible. So, avoid at all costs. It’s terrible.

The restaurant side is a La Cart menu, but next to it, you may do to the Terraza Los Blasones. Not only you may order from the Menu del Dia but also from a regular menu,,,,, same kitchen.

We ate a lunch- set menu for 30 euros. Tomato salad was great. Fish was good portion and tasty. Bread and water- expensive. Overall good meal. Servise- efficient but cold. You see the cooking which is nice. The place lacks ambiance and pricey.

We love this restaurant! We ate here three times out of our 9 night stay. The service is exceptional and they have the kitchen in front of you so you can see while they prepare the food. Marian was an exceptional hostess/waitress that takes care of your every need and makes great recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is very clean. The food is the best part. Never have I eaten a better tasting Merluza or Solomillo in all my life!!! The fish and the meat is fresh and sourced locally. I cannot get enough of this place! We are definitely coming back and eating here more often.

Todo un acierto elegir Los Blasones para cenar. Llevábamos todo el día fuera, y el menú para cenar nos supo a gloria. Hay carta y dos menús a elegir: uno de 25 euros y otro de 60. Nosotros elegimos el menú de 25 euros. Había 4 primeros a elegir, 4 segundos y postres caseros (más pan y bebida incluida). Cantidad-Calidad de 10. La chica que nos atendió de 10 también. Totalmente recomendable si pasas por Santillana del Mar.
