El Chamizo - Santiago de Querétaro

Great place, great atmosphere. Excellent food. Very recommended. Everybody ready. The chorizo with red wine was delicious. Spanish food.

My wife and I are eating here on June 10, 2019. We found it on the way back from Acueducto to Centro Histórico. Tapas and Tinto de verano. Delicious. Our server, Daniel, was pleasant.

The place is nice and quaint. The food was expensive and the service very poor. Also going to the washroom is an interesting experience.

We stumbled on Chamizo just before heading to the Museum of Contemporary Art which is also worth a visit. Located in the apex of two streets just off one of the centro's plazas, Chamizo has indoor and outdoor seating and feels very European. For December,...we couldn't believe the gorgeous weather so sat outside. We stopped in for just a local artesian beer but after we saw a few food items go by decided to also order food. We wanted Vegetarian which they had. Great food, location and dog friendly. The owner speaks Spanish and English. He opened this Gastropub after recently returning to Mexico from years of working in restaurants in Barcelona. You can't go wrong here!
