Bidrage med feedbackOf course, it didn't expect to say that. but I had the greatest steak of my life in this restaurant. A fillet mignon. It bleeded all the Wagyu cuts I had before. All our secondary dishes were also absolutely perfect. The staff were as friendly and helpful as they get. Solidarity ended as our favorite restaurant that we visited the entire west coast on our trip.
As a born and raised Slav, I vouch for Solidarity's menu and food quality. If it sounds like an authentic dish, it is one. Anyone who complains just didn't have it done that particular way in their household or didn't visit enough Eastern Bloc countries and sample the different ways the food is made. Solidarity is very similar to the way a menu would be organized in a authentic style cooking restaurant for American Tourists in Ukraine, Poland or Lithuania. My only compliant is there was one that the portions are a bit on the small side especially if you are used to your baba cooking for the whole family.
Very genuine staff and authentic dishes. You definitely want to make reservations because they fill up quickly. I describe this as a casual place and perfect for families or dates. The Polish beers they serve are excellent.
I've all over Poland, one of the best places I ate was a hole in the in Krakow where I ordered pierogies. When I bit into the pierogi at Solidarity I was transported back to that amazing hole in the wall in Krakow. I love this place, the atmosphere, the people are very friendly and I have checked out a few polish restaurants in the L.A area and if you want the best show some Solidarity!! L.A's best!!
Fun Polish place in the heart of Santa Monica. TBH, I liked it more when it was Warsawa with the kitschy fun lounge bar in the back yard, separate from the formal, more traditional Polish dining in the house up front. But it?s still fun, with pretty good food.
