Santacafé - Santa Fe

Stumbled into a gorgeous courtyard. First visit we enjoyed an excellent branzino with lemon caper butter and green chili curry mussels. both very tasty and enough mussels for two. Second time I tried the featured Maggie's pasta with chiles and harissa. Disappointed I regret, but my partner's citrus and feta salad was spot on. Service on both occasions was fine and friendly most of the time. The second visit had us seated under an apricot tree which adds to the beauty of the courtyard but not when you are repeatedly pelted by falling fruit. (Pro tip: Just don't seat guests here. Finally, be aware that the wine list is misleading. Neither time did they have our choice. Pretty and tranquil spot off the square worthy of additional visits.

Our second time here. The cocktails were delicious. The soup was wonderful. The salad was okay, nothing special. The shrimp cocktail was quite generous. Overall, the service was outstanding. We would definitely come again when we're hungrier!

Summer Lunch at Santacafé is magical. Lobster salad and celery root soup. Service was top-notch. Make sure you check out the old well by the bar.

Our waiter was extremely inattentive. After several minutes waiting for his initial approach, ordering our cocktails, and having them brought to our table, we didn't get his attention again for nearly another half hour. After the food arrived, at no time did he check back with us on whether we were in need of any further assistance. When the entrées were finished and the table had been cleared by the busboy, we again waited 15-20 minutes to be asked about dessert. I've enjoyed many meals in this restaurant's very pleasant open courtyard, and the food continues to be well prepared. But in view of the truly lackadaisical performance of our waiter, I'll hesitate before making another visit to Santacafé.

We have dined here often and have never been disappointed until this dinner. Service was slow, inattentive and unfriendly. The waiter did not appear at our table until 25 minutes after we were seated. We ordered drinks, appetizers to share and 4 main courses. Appetizers were delivered before the drinks and without share plates. Drinks finally arrived as did the wine we wanted to enjoy with our entrees. We continually had to ask for water refills. Main courses came out 40 minutes after appetizers.
