Bidrage med feedbackThe tapas and tacos at this restaurant are delicious! The squid in particular was extremely tasty. It's a great spot in Port Barton to enjoy your evening.
During the low season, most restaurants in Port Barton seem to close. Thankfully, Big Mama is one that remains open. The staff member I met was friendly and welcoming, and she prepared the food quickly. There are a nice variety of vegetarian options, and I'd particularly recommend the vegetarian quesadilla. The restaurant is comfortable and clean.
Horrible experience from start to finish. We ended up walking out only paying for tge coke. I Do Not recomment this place at all.
Food in Port Barton in general really surprised me. Had a taco and quesadilla, at Big Mama, both were very tasty. Their home-made hot sauce was delicious, if you like spicy stuff, definitely don't miss it. We also had one of the better fruit shakes here after having been to El Nido and Coron.
I am really sorry I have to give that bad a review but I find it fair to warn other tourists. So, my boyfriend got really bad intoxication after eating in this restaurant , which was the worst ending of our trip (it was our last night and next morning we had our flight.... . We trusted eating the veggies as the place seemed clean. However, apart from the intoxication, the whole service was awful, at first they made a mistake with our order (they brought us a wrong plate and then they brought our dishes to another table (they had just arrived and they were served before us, which caught my attention that's why they delayed a big amount of time to bring our dishes and they didnt even apologise or told the truth about it. They could have at least invited us to something for all of these mistakes. Totally unprofessional. In the end, we had some Mexican food and a burger, I ate nothing from the burger and my boyfriend got intoxicated so I guess it was either the meat of the burger or the lettuce inside. I don't know but it is a pity because with such a big problem with the water in the Philippines and with the locals not seeming to care, the tourists tend to trust more the restaurants owned by foreigners, because they seem to be more careful, and that's why the prices are a lot higher. Why to pay that much for some food that seems safe in order to get intoxicated??I hope in the future you are more careful.
