Lj's Deli - San Rafael

We stumbled upon this gem along our travels. Bread was amazing, our whole party was very pleased with the sandwiches we chose.

As fire refugees my husband and I enjoyed delicious sandwiches and great kindness having our first lunch at LJ Deli. We can see why it is so popular with the locals.

I ordered their version of a turkey club and it is amazing! Good portions, great bread, fresh crunchy veggies. Highly recommend. So tasty.

Great place that has been through a few owners. I'm glad to see the most recent owner has decided to keep the name and some of the classic menu items. At the same time the inside has been redecorated and made to feel more modern and comfortable. The menu now includes a larger selection of vegetarian options and a variety of tasty delights.

The rye bread here is wonderfully fresh and soft—absolutely delicious! The crunchy, flavorful pickles add a nice touch, and the tomatoes taste like they’re straight from an organic garden. The real turkey and Swiss cheese really make the sandwich stand out. It’s an incredible sandwich! I’ve been coming to this place since it opened in the 80s, and the team continues to keep the amazing subs coming. Great job, everyone!
