El Novillo Alegre San Pedro

My date and I both got the chefs special. When we got our bill, there was a charge for the waiter making the recommendation. The steak I had was grissly, not easy to cut. Not worth the price I paid. Will not return.

Great place. Quite fancy and expensive. The food is great. And they have a lot of wine. But for me the environment was dull. There were birthday wishes for two tables. It was cute. But short. But that's just my opinion.

In my opinion this is one of if not the best meat restaurant in Costa Rica. I love ordering the cuadril with roasted veggies and salad. They always get the meat just right. My favorite entrées are the garlic octopus or the garlic mushrooms although I won't turn down the caprese salad. Lastly, for dessert I like their apple crêpe with vanilla ice cream. The waiters are also always super polite and the place looks nice. Good restaurant for an elegant date.

We arrived close to 9 pm and they close at 10 so we were served like in a hurry by our waitress. So this did not make us enjoy the experience. Food was good but expensive.

The food was good but the meat has a lot of residual taste of the flame initiator of the grill. For this restaurant and the menu price this details must be taken care of. Service was very nice
