Mi Casa Restaurant San Jose del Cabo

Great restaurant with delicious food and generous portions. We visited San Juan del Cabo on a Thursday evening while the weekly art walk was taking place. Stumbled upon this great restaurant after searching for “Carne Asada in San Juan del Cabo”. The sirloin was recommended for that dish and cooked to perfection. Guacamole appetizer with 500g sirloin entree was enough food for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning. Will for sure return next time we are enjoying the beautiful art district of San Juan del Cabo.

We’ve been coming here for years because it’s such a hidden gem of a spot. However this last visit was different. It was like the restaurant was closed. We were the only reservation of the night which was super odd. Normally it’s crowded in the past years we’ve been. The food was still awesome and the one waiter was great as well. I am worried that this restaurant will not stay open much longer which is a shame. I wonder what happened?

Great atmosphere and both the tacos with shrimp and sea bass were excellent. Rey tasty and high quality.

My wife and I (and our three teenage sons) celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at this restaurant. It was an outside restaurant on a back patio right in the heart of downtown San Jose del Cabo. The price was unbelievably reasonable and the food was delicious! We had a family of five eat here with a couple of drinks for the adults and it only cost about $100 (before tip). We had the hotel concierge make the reservation for us. Be careful, though, since there is a sister restaurant in Cabo San Lucas (which is about 40 minutes away) with a similar name. I made it clear to the woman who made the reservation that I was not interested in going to Cabo San Lucas, but she still made the wrong reservation for us. However, when we got to the restaurant in San Jose del Cabo (after walking around and experiencing the Art Walk on Thursday night), the hostess could not have been more welcoming and offered to call the other restaurant to cancel the wrong reservation for us. Definitely a gem!

We went here for dinner one night. The restaurant is pretty with fun decorations. The entire staff was friendly and warm. The food was delicious especially the carnitas.
