Bidrage med feedbackLast Friday soneone in the front office brought a tray of these in, once I tried it, I had to know where they were from and knew it would be a dinner hit with the fam. Sure enough, whether you toast it a few minutes in the oven to get that little crisp, or heat it up in the microwave a lil, you will definitely enjoy it! Can't wait to go back and try sone of their other breads n sweets!! Very friendly staff as well.
Remember to come early to get their freshly made rice balls (onigiri) before they are gone! This is one of the few places that are still here after so many years. The quality, the variety and the price of their onigiri is hard to beat. This is one of the very few authentic Japanese bakery in the South Bay where you can find melon bun, spaghetti bread and katsu bread. Although they only offer one kind of cake (strawberry and cream) it's fresh and light it's a hidden gem that only true foodie knows why the cake and the store is so good.
Really organized and good covid daft- line out the door. Mid day on a Sunday I waited about 20 mins. Line was on a ramp and there were no steps to get in the store. Didn’t see a bathroom for customers. Right now it is all take out. I tried 3 rice balls and 3 desserts. All very good prices. My favorite as the pear danish. Parking lot can be very busy in this plaza.
I put this spot on my list after a TikTok recommendation and it was, by far, one of the BEST SPOTS on our long trip through California for delicious food. Literally. Everything. Is. Delicious. Do NOT miss this spot. There is a very unique variety, from savory dishes like pork cutlet burgers, curry bread, and onigiri to sweet dishes like custard cream doughnuts, milk breads, and pastries. We tried probably a dozen items and all were fantastic!!! 12/10 would come back EVERY time even if it was an hour out of the way. There can be long lines as it is a small space and only so many are allowed inside at a time. We got there around 10am and it was empty, so we got lucky!
The bakery is located in the same plaza as the Mitsuwa marketplace. It has a small store front and I found the place by searching for ppl lining up : . The Most famous items from this bakery is the Onigiri, Japanese rice roll. You have to get the Onigiri from the counter, not picking up from the shelves like the breads. The Onigiri are in the pricey side($3.50 , but tasty and fulfilling. My preference is the Unagi/eel Onigiri.
