Toast Eatery - San Francisco

Great morning start<br/ <br/ I was meeting a friend in Noe Valley and needed a second breakfast. I chose the place with the neon sign that says “Eat Toast”. Had to try the French Toast made with either challah bread or croissant. Yum.

Tough one to rate.... I've had hit and miss results here. It's an updated take on the greasy spoon breakfast place. Some dishes seem uninspired and bland, but others can be quite good. My last time there I had a mediterranean scramble which was good. Once I had the pancakes and found them to be no better than instant mix at home.

Think of Toast as old reliable: no culinary fireworks, just a really good ham scramble.

Great Eggs Florentine and **** Marys. Would be better if they jammed the **** Marys full of veggies though. Super tummy and unpretentious low-key.

I've lived in Noe Valley for 5yrs and I have to say toast is by far the best breakfest place I've ever eaten at! From the food to the servers, all the way to the cute modern feel of the décor. The only thing I'd change is I wish they'd fry their bacon instead of baking it.
