Bidrage med feedbackThis little hole in the wall serves up delicious Nepalese food. They claim to be the first Nepalese restaurant in San Francisco, and it is the first of it's kind I've been to. The service was quite good and the food was excellent. To me, it was a pleasant cross between the more common Indian and Afghan cuisines, with flavors all their own. Parking in the neighborhood can be a challenge, but it's worth the effort if you're in the area.
What a charming place! You must try the authentic Nepalese dishes (though the North Indian items are also fantastic, you can get those at many other places . The food is richly flavored and deeply comforting. We especially loved the Nepalese dal and the mustard greens, which were so nutty and satisfying. The flavors are complex while not being weighed down with too much oil or ghee, so it also feels quite healthy. Plenty of vegetarian options, too! The service is genuinely warm and attentive and makes you feel right at home. A good date spot :
Cozy Nepalese restaurant in Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Getting here is not that hard, it's right off the freeway, although parking is a bit tough. Food and service are excellent here. We got pork momos, the lamb samosa and chicken tandoori curry thali. The naan and daal that came with the thali were also very good. 5/5!!
Great food and really nice atmosphere. Cozy little place with cool decor and prayer flags on the wall
This restaurant is one of my favorite spots in San Francisco. The food is incredibly delicious, clean, and healthy, with generous portions. The service is very courteous, and they remember regular customers, which is a nice touch. I usually order takeout, but when I do have time to dine in, I truly enjoy the atmosphere and my overall experience. It's a real disappointment that it has been closed since the pandemic began. I'm eagerly looking forward to its reopening!
