I decided to order in the children's menu, especially the jr. birthday cake. when it arrived, the frosting tasted as acidic. also all the time, a waiter was creepy screaming at me.
Don 't visit this deserted diner selling overpriced, unappealing food.A few months ago, I heard that Denny 's sells onion rings, so I decided I 'd visit. I 'd never been to a Denny 's before. I was greeted by a server who told me to sit anywhere, as long as it was on the right side, which seemed weird to me, but okay. There weren 't many people inside; I 'd say it was about 5% full. After finding my seat, I looked through the menu to confirm there were onion rings, which were all the way at the back. The prices for everything were pretty high, even for SF. Also, I noticed there were bottles of soy sauce on the tables, which is a bit strange for a diner.A different server came and asked if I was ready to order. I ordered the onion rings and also asked what she recommended. I told her I didn 't really want a meal, so she said the grilled cheese sandwich with soup, $14.99, but since they don 't have soup, they could substitute it for onion rings. My food arrived about 10 minutes later. The grilled cheese sandwich turned out to be nothing special: a Kraft single between two pieces of buttered Wonder bread. The onion rings were piping hot, but the onion inside wasn 't thoroughly cooked, which meant separating from the batter when bitten, a sign of a poorly made ring. After eating, I got my bill totaling $18.63. There was an additional $1.49 charge for the onion rings, labeled as seas fries. I thought it would be the same price as the sandwich and soup because it was just a substitution and I didn 't ask for it, the server offered. I felt like a fool after paying nearly $20 for bad onion rings and a little sandwich. The food sucked and the only wow factor was the price. Avoid this restaurant.
It's Denny's.... What is the really to say?? It's truck stop dinner food that everyone craves once in awhile. So it's consistent. Friendly staff at the location on Mission that I visited recently. Food was exactly the same as any other Denny's I've been too.
Place refused to serve us. Never acknowledged us when we were visiting. They continued to speak in Spanish, and serve the Spanish. When contacted manager, they never came back we walked out.
Turbo was the best server by far. Not only that but Jenny was also a really great server. They both deserve to get paid more deadass.
