Aslam's Rasoi Indian/pakistani Of San Francisco

Love this place, the curries are great and the naans are really good. Good curries are hard to find in San Francisco! For the reviews about bad service our server was great but we did run dry on drinks. When our food came to the table it was pretty much thrown out and we had no idea what was what. BUT, it wasn't that bad and the food was amazing. We how're a group of 5 and we had curries, rice naan, apps, tandori platter, sides and beers and it was under $50 per head with tip.

Had to pick a place to accommodate various dietary preferences and Aslam's Rasoi place came to the rescue. Carnivores, Vegans, Pescatarians, Gluten-intolerant, Lactose-intolerant, Vegetarians all had tasty dishes from which to choose!

We made a reservation at Aslam for a birthday dinner. This was for a party of 18. They were very accommodating and welcoming. They called the day of to confirm the reservations and asked if we needed any accommodations. They set up tables specific for our party so we could all be seated together. We did not have to sign a contract or have a pre-scheduled menu selection like other restaurants usually require for large groups. Outstanding service! They were checking in with us often to make sure everything was to our expectation. Very patient staff as well, as some of our party showed up late. They stored the birthday cake for us in their fridge that I bought prior. They also set up the birthday candles and lighted the cake with perfect timing for the birthday boy! The food was good. We order multiple plates as the portions are small-medium size servings. Definitely recommend this place for dinner to large groups on the weekends in SF.

I really wanted to like the place as, although new, the waiter was enthusiastic and English was obviously his 2nd language. However, the curries we're pretty bland and the already scant wine list was reduced further when they didn't have the first two bottles we ordered.
