Azuki Sushi - San Diego

We had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The food was superb, especially the sushi rolls and shrimp fried rice. The fried calamari was also a hit, being both fresh and crispy.

Without a doubt, the best sushi in San Diego, no question. Whether dining in or getting takeout, I've always had a fantastic experience. Absolutely exceptional.

This sushi restaurant is a must-visit destination. Despite its unassuming exterior and small interior, the atmosphere is hip and contemporary. My sister and I loved everything we tried. The 'Shell Shock' roll was packed with shrimp, scallops, and veggie tempura, topped with spicy mayo and sweet sauce. The 'Land and Sea' roll, featuring crab and Kobe beef, was a standout for me. I also enjoyed the 'Are You Kidding Me?' roll, filled with seafood and asparagus. For a citrusy treat, try the 'Vertigo' roll wrapped in cucumber and crab with citrus garlic sauce. The green tea martinis are light and refreshing. I can't wait to go back again.

I would give this restaurant a 5-star rating. Typically, if the food is tasty and the service is good, I would rate it 5 stars. But this restaurant has an added bonus: the speed at which they serve is incredibly fast! Typically, at a sushi restaurant, especially at a more upscale establishment, the service can be slow. However, this restaurant has managed to achieve the impossible trifecta: amazing flavors, excellent service, and fast speed!
