Bidrage med feedbackI revisited this restaurant after they received their first Michelin star, but was not overly impressed with the exceptional service. A friend recommended that I give it another try, claiming that everything had improved and that they deserved a third star. Upon returning, I found her assessment to be accurate. The menu was superb, each dish beautifully presented with amazing taste, selection, and consistency. However, compared to similar experiences, the cost seemed lacking. In other establishments, truffles, caviar, and Wagyu are included in the regular tasting menu without additional charges (which were doubled in this case). It was unusual to have to pay extra for items that are typically standard at high-end restaurants. While the quality of the food was top-notch, the presentation of the menu was not what I expected. This was the most expensive meal I have ever had, and while the food was exceptional, the pricing and menu presentation were not up to par with other experiences I have had in various locations around the world.
This might just be the best dining experience I've ever had! What a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday.
My dining experience at this restaurant was truly wonderful. They remembered my dietary restriction of not being able to eat red meat due to high iron levels. My party decided to splurge and upgrade our dishes with truffles and caviar, which was absolutely delicious. In addition, we were able to celebrate our birthday thanks to the attentive employees who helped make the occasion special.
This was our first experience with such a highly rated restaurant. My wife and I were very impressed and we had fun what the whole point was. The food was pure artistic and delicious. The service was precise and friendly. If we know that after dinner we were well served, we planned to see a live performance rather than the risk of falling asleep on the sofa when we came home. Sure, it was a bit on the expensive side, but at least fortunately we set a check mark on the old bucket list. Maybe two controls one day.
For San Diego’s standards Addison was top notch. Service was an orchestrated dance with very friendly and responsive service staff. However, in comparison to 3 star Michelin’s around the world, I was not as convinced, as the food did not etch into my palate as absolutely divine. It was well balanced and presented, and none of the dishes had me overwhelmingly dislike it. If you have not experienced fine dining at a premium, then Addison is a great start. However, for those who have experienced Michelin rated restaurants around the world this may not rank up there with the best of the best.
