Trattoria Della Fonte

This restaurant belongs to the hotel fonte de medici. in the first night we had excellent service with amazing food and wine (from the world famous and renowned antinori weinbergen). unfortunately it was from there downhill. service at the breakfast was haphazard to forget the least .things and not brought, serving for one (we were three and extremely slow service. dinner second night was also bad eating was not on the same standard and again when we were asked for additional bread we were told of course, but never arrived. very disappointing for a hotel that is 5 stars, this place does not live up to antinori expectations.

Even if the place, which were very good and the wine all were excellent, they could not compensate for the mediocre eating. the meatballs (actually hit squares) looked terrible and smeared almost as bad as they looked. the roasted potatoes that came as a supplement were. almost cold and unnoticed, not evenly made. the dessert options were limited, I took a pistachio mousse that I can describe as fat and sweet. I couldn't eat it. to finish on a positive note, the espresso saved that dessert, fruity and beautiful.

Posizione molto ben curato e accogliente, personale molto professionale e cordiale, ottimo cibo (feorentina strepitosa) e prezzi onesti. Torneremo sicuramente!
