Taurino Mexican - San Antonio

My favorite Mexican dish is chicken mole. With that being said, I've tasted quite a few different mole dishes. And I have to say, the chicken mole enchiladas served here are THE BEST I've ever had! The mole is thick, rich, and FULL of flavor! It was so good that I asked for a side of mole to spread over my beans and rice! The chicken was NOT from the can. It was the real deal. The refried beans and rice were also filled with flavor. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The waitress was very attentive and gave refills without having to be asked. I appreciate good service. The salsa has a kick that went well with my food. I left full and surprised at how good this restaurant was. If you like mole, I highly recommend trying this mole.

Taurinos is so excellent. They have perfect health scores and perfect and friendly staff. The food was so fresh and flavorful. Their corn tortillas were homemade too. Thank you to the hardworking staff to make the restaurant so clean and inviting.

5 stars for food. 1 star for doubling the high tip I left in the drive thru. I won't be back to this location again. Go to the location next to Dairy Queen. Been going there for years pre-pandemic and now the drive thru. Update... I haven't been in in a while. I forgot about their wonderful flour tortillas. Carne guisada was a little bit on the red side, and I prefer the brown, but it was pretty good. Sandra was our server, very nice and very attentive. Everyone seemed to appreciate their breakfast as much as I did mine. I may have to work my way across that menu LOL

We ordered the Caldo De Res, and it was very good. Plenty of meat and well seasoned vegetables and broth. Corn tortillas were very good as well.

We arrived early afternoon and were greeted warmly by one of the waitresses. There was no waiting for a table. There were a couple of music players playing live music for about 15 minutes as we arrived. The food was fairly priced, and plenty of food on each of the dishes served. The missing star for the food is due to the taste of my chicken fajitas; well cooked, but lacked some flavor. The flautas and enchiladas de mole were very good.
