My mother, her boyfriend, and I were having a good time at this restaurant, enjoying the live band because we knew someone who played in it. I was even about to sing during the next set. However, our night took a turn when a man started yelling at us for accidentally disturbing his chess game by fixing pieces that had fallen on the ground. Despite our attempts to explain, he continued to yell at my mother and her boyfriend, even pushing the boyfriend across the bar. Shockingly, no one in the bar, including the bartender, came to our aid or asked the man to leave. They acted as though it was our fault and allowed him to continue disrespecting us. It was clear that he was looking for a fight, yet the bartender simply stated that he was a regular when we questioned why he wasn't kicked out. This incident was completely unacceptable, especially in a place like Saluda.
