Table Farmer

We were enjoying a two week holiday in the Lot region of France in May when we came across this restaurant on a Friday lunchtime. We had not reserved a table but the owner found us a one for four people in the restaurant which was busy with locals. We had a huge tureen of soup to start then a large platter of crudités with bread. Madame explained our main course would be a fish dish as it was Friday. An impressive selection of cheeses followed ,then a choice of tasty home made desserts. The cost per person including red wine was 12 euros !! It was a delight to find this restaurant as so many of them have disappeared in France. We were welcomed warmly and I was able to practice my French.

Faden managed his bet: revive the restaurant of our village after the retirement of Marie-France. Traditional cuisine at noon only, improved on Sunday with sometimes themes, after-work on Friday with boards to share...We love!! This noon was a calf's head; the mic returns on winter Thursdays; Missing in anticipation... a real happiness, congratulations! MERCI FADEN!
