Restaurant Papa Jackie - Saint-Lambert

Once considered as one of the best Chinese restaurants in greater montreal, now under Covid-19 restrictions only with takeout and delivery. the quality of food is on the bottom and inconsistent.

I ordered the crab with seasonal vegetables! what I had was not what I thought it was described! it says seasonal vegetables and what I had was spinat drowned with what looks like crabs in a dose and water! it was badly packed and the...presentation is absolutely ridiculous

Our Thursday evening meal group decided to go for papa jackie on a good recommendation. we had eaten there about 16 months ago and were not impressed. they told us they had a new menu and were renovated. our group of 14 was accepted at two tables, because they had no surface for a group. eating was okay, but pretty bland. the price was high and the food was so. we do not come back

We had a family dinner here on a weekday evening the day after Christmas. Parki was horrible as there wasn’t any space, so we parked on a neighborhood street that was just a street over. It was packed, but we had a reservation, which we...made a few days ago so we were able to get in on time. We ordered a variety of dishes, which took an hour to come out. Because apparently you had to order your dishes beforehand also to get them delivered to you soon after you arrived. But when the dishes started coming out, they came out within minutes of each other. We ordered 7 dishes in total for an expensive price of about $150! We ordered way too much and ended up bringing a lot of leftovers home. Favorites included the lobster dish, the Peking duck, the fried rice the beef noodles. My least favorite item was the soup, which didn’t have much going on with it. Although the foods were good, the dishes were all a bit too salty. Overall, it was a pretty good Chinese restaurant that I would recommend to those wanting to eat Chinese food in the area.

We were a group of 5 and chose an 8-meal already set course from the menu which was very good. Portion and service were both good. Had enough leftovers for another main course for 3 to bring home. Restaurant was full, is quite spacious and...clean. Reservation was done 2 days ahead. A bit noisy though from where we were seated (close to door, in middle of restaurant). Would go back.
