Jose's Cantina - Saint Ignace

The absolute best Mexican food we had for years. We have lived the whole country and compare food with California, Joses IS real, authentic and just flat out amazing. All we tried was phenomenal! The cook loves his craft and puts his heart in every dish. We are always sad when you are all near the season and wait impatiently for the opening day. Seriously, you won't be disappointed. Service is always great!

This place is the best Mexican food in the U.P. and best I had in Michigan. I had Mexican food all over the country and lived in San Diego for 6 years. This is Legit. Very recommended. The service is just as good as the food and the Habanero sauce is great. I'll do half an hour to eat here. It's worth a stop. I had the Diablo Chicken and my wife had the Carne Asada Burrito. We have always received first-class service and food. Thank you. Jose is such a great experience. We're coming back!

I have heard so much about this place of friends and internet articles that describe the place as some of the best tacos in Michigan. I tested the fish tacos and regular beef tacos and can say I agree with the hype. The deep fried bowls are very reminiscent of the 'Puffy ' Tacos, which are very popular in some places. A little more pricier than what you expect in St.Ignace, but overall I would say it was worth it.

The food was fine, not great, definitely better. Our waitress was very nice, but somehow slow, and we had to go in and find her to give us the check.

From the outside to inside artsy to the max! Very cool decor. Stop in and buy artwork from locals. As for the food it was tasty but not the Mexican food I expected, they have their own little twists. I did wish they had their own homemade hot sauce n salsa. They do carry probably 100 different hot sauces for sale which I found cool. They had some very interesting named ones. The staff was super friendly! I would recommend it
