The Plank Restaurant And Bar - Safford

*Update- ate at Plank a few weeks ago and the service was much faster and the food was just as good! Still absolutely love the salad bowl Tortilla bowl and everything I have eaten was great. Stop for lunch, it was a long wait for food to say BUT What place in the valley has a sit down menu and regular food is not? Service in our picturesque city is always slow and so we should compare it. Besides, it's brand new and there are always Hiccups to find out, and the stuff needs time because you never know what doesn't work until it happens! Just don't be in a hurry if you want to go there. The menu was simple what I liked, not many decisions that are good because in a small town that makes things fresher and better. I ordered a hamburger and side salad and my friend ordered the pastrami. Again I took awhile to get the food, but I had come with this expectation, as different as too late into the office, it was all good. The hamburger was good, the beats were unique and delicious. The salad was brilliant in his sweet little tortilla bowl, from which I ate a part! My friend said the pastrami was amazing! Could the service be faster, jap, but so could the service in almost any restaurant in Safford! If you're in a hurry, don't go and you don't have to crank. The food is unique and good and worth waiting when you have the time! In any case, we will go back and in any case we will go when visiting friends.

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Your food is delicious and the menu options are different from everything you can get in this city. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I am so glad that there is finally a nice restaurant/bar in Safford, which differs from the standard Mexican, pizza or fast food options that we all have cultivated.

Good atmosphere, good staff and best food. I ordered the 10oz NY Strip medium actually WAS medium) and the soup. Plate came with a bunch of good stuff, roasted asparagus potatoes. Steak was perfect, and I am picky, the fried vegetables were delicious! Very expensive! Only what I would change is the cedar thing under the steak, it was a nice touch, but it broke and stuck on my perfectly juicy steak. The best steak in town!

I've been there 4 times, great food and wonderful people, the **** Mary was really amazing, can't wait to have one more! A fun place to hang with friends, and of course I love how the place is decorated:
