Lins Gourmet - Ruther Glen

Tried this place again last night, despite several iffy experiences in the past. We ordered orange chicken and General Tso's chicken. In both orders the chicken was overcooked, dried out and chewy to the point of being inedible. Over the years, we havehad good meals here, but it's definitely hit-or-miss now. We're going to be looking for other alternatives.

The food is enjoyable, but the ordering process is quite frustrating. There are constant delays, and after placing an order, it goes completely quiet for several minutes.

The Crab Rangoon tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. The Shrimp Lo Mein wasn't much better. Overall, I was disappointed.

This place was nearly the worst, which is why I gave it 2 stars, as I've had even worse Chinese food elsewhere. Nothing stands out as great here, and much of the food was subpar.

I wanted to give this restaurant a 4-star rating, but I can’t. Over the past five months, the food has not been as good as it was a year ago. It seems that the cooks might be consistent, but you can definitely taste the difference. When the restaurant was located at Mike Fork in Fredericksburg, the food was outstanding. I’m not sure what’s happening, but the last few times I've been, the food has lacked flavor. I hope the management reads these reviews and makes some changes; otherwise, there are plenty of other restaurants to try.
