“Makan enak” which is Indonesian for great food. Love this place for the soto (chicken soup) and the nasi bungkus (banana leaf covered rice with beef rendang). Delicious.

This restaurant is #1 on my list of Indonesian restaurants. The food is of high quality and very tastefully with the correct Indonesian spices. The chicken satay is the best.

3.5 stars The first time I visited Java Spice was about 5 years ago with friends, and I remembered that it was super busy all tables were taken and the servers were from table to table. It was the first time I ever had Indonesian food. Remembered Java Spice a few days ago and decided to go some. Just a head up, the prices online is not currently ready to pay a bit more. Nasi Goreng Kornet Char Kway Teaw My job was done, hot when I arrived. The sum for 2 dishes (including taxes, of course) came out to an excess of $30. I know inflation and everything, but would have been nice if the prices were announced when I got the order, or when I came to pay. They had no menus to go, but they will be ready next month, which tells you that the prices will probably rise even more. The Nasi Goreng Kornet was not as I remember. It was dry and saw more like rice cooked with sauce, with a small egg and a few slices of tomatoes and cucumber. The Char Kway Teaw was delicious, but the price tag was not worth it. The parking lot was packed for a Friday afternoon, but hardly any cartridges in Java Spice. Service was good, and the food was well packed. Loved that they also contain a small red **** garlic chili sauce in each box. They also sell Indonesian snacks and so on. There are not many Indonesian restaurants in this area, so it is nice that Java Spice is still open for business trips.
