Sammie's - Round Lake

First time at this location and the LAST FOR SURE!!!!! I ordered Gyros sandwiche and an Italian Beef sandwich, it took about 10 minutes to get it while other people came in and got their orders before mine. The Gyros meat was more like beef jerky and with very small portions, and the Beef was sprinkled with a little cheese under the meat and nothing on top. I asked if can get a little more Tzasiki sauce she said oh that's extra. THIS WAS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME THAT I COME HERE, NOTHING LIKE THE GRAYSLAKE LOCATION.

When you spend over $7 for a gyro you expect something to eat. I ended up with one inch pieces of meat, and very little toppings.. Everytime l go in there, someone new is filling the orders. Manager never called me..No more.. would.

For card payers, take note: they charge additional 4% of total bill (including tax) as non cash transaction fee. Tried their Gyros sandwich and even just the regular one has a LOT of meat! The serving is huge and filling for one person. The cucumber sauce is just right and the tomato wedges are fresh and ripe. I just wish there were more veggies on it. I do recommend this one. We also had the Double Samburger with Cheese but it was just okay. Probably wouldn 't order again unless we 're super craving and there are no other open burger places nearby. Their jalapeño poppers have a bit of a thick breading compared to those offered in other restaurants, but at least they weren 't oily so that 's good. Unfortunately, if you 're like me who loves spicy food, you might be disappointed. There 's no spice at all. My husband said there 's a spicy kick to it but I couldn 't taste it. Fries are good thick cut, crispy on the outside and soft mushy on the inside.

I go here frequently. Love this place. The cook is legendary. Ialways get a bacon burger with cheese, but they don't like it when we call it the Sammie Burger, even though that's what is advertised. Still great though. The women staff are always very beautiful and kind. The place is well designed, cozy yet spacious. I can't say enough about this place.

I'm mad. I am mad I haven't been here before. I am at the Disc Golf course ALL THE TIME and I haven't eaten here before. Great food and great customer service. I will be coming here again for sure.
