Li's Chinese Take-out - Rothesay

The best Chinese food in the Rothsay/ Saint John area !!!! MSG free and if you love chicken balls without all the breading their Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken is amazing. Their number 40 house noodles are loaded with soooooooo much meat pork done at lest 4 different ways like roasted, bbq, honey garlic, chicken, shrimp, beef and a ton of vegetables makes this dish beyond expectations. I love a good wonton soup and theirs is full of dumplings, vegetables, and shredded meat and the broth is made homemade with no added soup enhancers it is so amazing. I have ordered so many things from the menu and we order on a regular basis and food is always prepared with fresh ingredients and huge portions that are always consistently amazing. The lady who owns this restaurants is very friendly and is very sincere about the pride she takes in every dish she prepares.

The lady at the front counter (assuming the owner) was sweet! loved talking to you as I waited. Great food!!

After reading the most recent reviews, our family decided to try Li's once again. Unfortunately, our experience was not as great as the other reviewers. The cost per person worked out to be what you would expect a typical take-out combo to cost. As for the food preparation: - Chicken Balls were much too fatty and a bit over cooked- Spare ribs were ok- chow mein was very watery and lacked flavour- Stirfry veggies were very good, you could taste each individual vegetable and it was prepared weĺl- Rice was just ok- Egg rolls were terrible! They had a slightly "off" taste and left a film in your mouthI gave 3 stars because I can see there is potential for a better experience but Li's will have to change a few things first.

We hadn't tried this place since it changed management. It is take out only,Some items have their own distinctive taste, the Garlic Sauce on the ribs was thick, the way we like it, the service was fast, food was good and the portions we're bigger than anticipated hopefully they will continue.. prices we're the same as other places in the area, we will definitely return.
