The Grottino - RINGOES

A new restaurant is experiencing the typical challenges that come with opening. The food was quite good, which is the most important aspect, but there are a few minor issues that need to be addressed. The lighting in the entryway is overly bright, spilling into the dining area and giving the restaurant a cafeteria-like feel at night. The plastic flowers on the table either need to be removed, as they collect dust, or replaced with a single real flower for a more inviting touch. I requested sparkling water, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. Our server was quite new and had to frequently consult the owner for our requests. On a positive note, they were able to accommodate our request for gluten-free pasta, which many restaurants still overlook. However, serving mussels on a flat plate made it difficult to enjoy the soup/sauce.
