Bidrage med feedbackThere have been significant improvements in this location. The staff is different, with most being friendly and helpful. It is expensive, but that is to be expected for a Tesco local. My only criticism is that the discounts are very minimal, only 20p here and there. I hope that the food that doesn't sell is not wasted and is instead given to the many homeless individuals we see outside.
This restaurant has the best service I have ever experienced. It is a bit more expensive compared to other supermarkets because they feature many other brands instead of just their own. There is paid parking available on the main road from 10am to 4:30pm. They offer self-service, which is not common in other Tesco locations. The restaurant gets pretty busy after 5pm due to train traffic, but the staff is helpful and offers many options. The production section is always fully stocked and there are daily discounts on many items.
The burgers at this restaurant are delicious compared to other fast-food options, but the watermelon slices are too dry. It's a decent trade-off for me since I don't typically eat watermelon.
We went for breakfast and it was the most disgusting one we have ever tasted. Everything is from the Tesco “value” range. The sausages if you can call them that were like cardboard. I’d be surprised if there was any meat in them at all....They give one tiny butter cube that wouldn’t even cover a quarter of a slice of toast. The pricing is extortionate for the quality and portion size of the food.
If you're wanting a cheap breakfast that won't take long to get to the table, then The Cafe is perfect. However, the quality of both the food and the cooking is poor. Plastic' sausages, grey bacon and hardly cooked tomatoes and hash browns were served....Won't be repeating this!
