Southern Kitchen - Richmond

MUST GO HERE! Ok so this place is booked and busy! I loved it here. My friend and I met here for restaurant week and I?m glad we did. The food was awesome? the catfish bites A1, the fried okra A1, the pork chops A1? just everything. Oh and the drinks were strong tasty. Our waitress was Jameka and man she was a doll! First of all her voice reminded me of Michel?le (look her up), we pretty much kept making her talk just to hear it lol. She provided the best service!

Definitely worth all the hype given. The food the atmosphere the service was all magnificent. Love the music selection as well. The catfish bites and dipping sauce was really good. I had the fried whiting and shrimp combo with green beans and Mac. All were good but the green beans were lacking a little seasoning. Dessert was old fashion cake which was really good and a good portion as well. Check them out

My colleague made reservations for 12 PM on a Sunday. We got there a little early, so we chatted for a bit.. We were invited to come on in at 12 on the dot and we were immediately seated. The staff was amazing and our server Jay did a great job. The restaurant may be a family owned business and it seemed like all the employees were family. The ambiance was ????????? I came here with my family months ago and loved the food and experience. I live a little over 1.5 hours away so i can't make it out here more often. I had the chance to return this weekend! We received great service and the food was amazing! yes, they do add in the tip however our service was great and we added additional tip onto it! It was worth every sent! the southern egg rolls were the best! It's a must have!

Normally the service is great, but yesterday the guy was trying to hard to be good and wouldn't listen.
