Early In The Morning - Reykjavik

Amazing breakfast place! They only opened after they were closed for a few years, and the breakfast was the best we had in the city! They have something for everyone, unlimited juice and coffee. Eggs, sandwiches, fruit, skyr (Eisland yogurt). They also recommend a wine bar in the evening. Five stars!

If you only get to enjoy breakfast one in your life, and then you die, this would be a worth choice. Appropriate portions, excellent sides and coffee, and outstanding quality for any size kitchen coming from a tiny space and limited (but sufficient! menu. Eat here.

My husband and I walked over from our downtown hotel around 7:15-7:30 to have a quick breakfast before our bus tour. The restaurant is a little difficult to find because the only sign was for the Port 9 bar which is what Early becomes in the evening and the entrance is at the side of the building in a courtyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food came out quickly. However, the food was just okay for about $25 for the full breakfast. It had one sausage, one piece of bacon, an egg, grilled veggies, baked beans, and mini pancakes with access to the bar full of drinks, fruit, and yogurt. I appreciate how early they’re open, but I was underwhelmed.

Take my advice! If you go to Reykjavik, call or even Facebook message they like me done to make a reservation (reservation is a must). You won't regret it! This place is a beautiful hidden breakfast gem and so is worth going. Very cool and cool atmosphere and the servers were incredibly polite. The price is perfect for the quality that includes the bread and delicious jam, self-service juice and coffee, its small but tasty oat flakes and the main course of your choice. I had the smoke salmon with scrambled eggs (after a 7 hour flight I swore this food) some of my other friends had the avocado toast that looked delicious and the pancakes!

Excellent restaurant worth a visit. Usually a set menu with a fixed price. I had the smoked salmon, eggs and horse stable with dill and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The choices were all delicious and fresh. Service was fantastic. Would be happy to go back. We're lucky. A reservation, but that was in winter. I highly recommend doing one.
