City Pub Redwood City

After we met at seapot for lunch, the next day we went to this city pub for sandwiches. It’s quite a nice place for lunch, we sat outside and we came a little early, only one lady setting up the table and stuff. The parking lot is not so bad since we could also park across at the train station. The parking meter only charge $1/hour, you need to know your space number. The server was quite attentive and fast although one was running at the time. All the sandwiches are about $20 with fries or salads. I had the spicy chicken which’s quite good. The fries are excellent, very tasty. The zucchini is a must with ranch dressing, everyone loved them. Burgers, quesadilla, steak are all great. The place is right outside so we could talk freely without worrying about bothering someone else LOL. Quite a nice place for lunch although we didn’t order any beer since it’s a pub and all.

This place is great for a chill atmosphere and they have great food and many beer selections. They have great burgers but my favorites here include french onion soup, the steak sandwich and the teriyaki chicken sandwich. Side salad is so good with their raspberry vinaigrette with Bleu cheese crumbles. Good bar apps too.

Rad was great. Greeted us and took very good care of our needs. I ordered the chicken sandwhich, chicken was dry, fries were nice n crispy. I'd come back and order something different.

The service was good and they came to check on us frequently, but the food was just not that good. We got the quesadilla with chicken and the pub burger with pepper jack cheese and they were missing a lot of flavor. The fries that came with the burger were very meh, very few were crispy and minimal flavor. It was still kind of the afternoon, so we didn't get any drinks which may be their specialty. Based on our experience we can't really recommend this place to anyone.

Had cobb salad recently, and there was plenty of bacon, almost no blue cheese, lots of chicken, a few tomatoes,... not their best work. The beer choices are always good. Service from Shirley was excellent. She is the hardest working server there.
