Nelly's Grill & Dairy Bar - PUGWASH

The food at this restaurant is fresh and hot. We ordered the seafood plate, which included the Fries Chrissy. The fries were cooked perfectly and I loved the dark color of them. The fish was a bit greasy, but that can happen at most places. The shells and scallops were delicious.

Nelly's has become an institution in the Pugwash area and still going strong. Burgers are great as is the seafood sure it is run-of-the-mill fare but well done and tasty.

Nelly's does real french fries and real meat burgers. I love the inferno burger myself, but the Nelly's burger is also great. They also do a good fish and chips.

Nelly's restaurant offers excellent food at a great value. They are open every day except Monday and consistently go above and beyond. Our go-to dishes are their mussels and burgers, but we have never had a meal there that was not delicious. The bustling parking lot is a clear indication of Nelly's popularity!

I LOVE fish n chips, especially with hand cut fries, so after reading the reviews here I was really hopeful. But my fish was greasy, not crispy, and the fries were dry and hard, and I did not enjoy them. Hopefully it was just an...off batch. I gave 3/5 because my husband really enjoyed his pan fried haddock with mashed potatoes, so that was a positive. But my food was horrible, so I doubt I'll give it a second chance.
