Bidrage med feedbackFabulous food, friendly service and great atmosphere.. definitely recommend dj's steak house to anyone looking for good time
Skip the Oysters. I had dinner at DJ's after a long day of going up and down Pike's Peak, so my view may be a bit jaded. I got there around 8pm on a Saturday evening and was seated in the dining room.<br/ <br/ For an appetizer I ordered Oysters Rockefeller. The filling was good, but unfortunately the oysters themselves were really well done. For dinner I had an 8oz prime rib with a salad and vegetable. <br/ <br/ Dinner was very good and everything was cooked correctly. Wait staff was nice and attentive, without overdoing it. Prime rib was quite tasty, and salad and veggies hit the spot. <br/ <br/ My only complaint was that I was not even offered dessert.
Will be seeing me again! Quail was great, hard to find. Next time I will be giving the prime rib a try. Will recommend to anyone who wants something not chain food
Perfectly Delicious!. My Mom and are from out of town, and really just wanted a nice dinner that didn't consist of cheap food. We decided to go to DJ's Steakhouse. The service was a little slow, but really not bad. With the meal you are served salad or soup. I chose salad, my mom had the soup. The dinner salad was perfectly crispy, with the usual toppings which seemed to be freshly cut, not something that was pre-made and put in the cooler until ready to be served. I was very pleased. My mom had cream of mushroom soup. I was a bit skeptical at first because I was thinking Campbell. I was SO wrong.. I have never tasted a soup that's flavor was so perfect!!! It was a little taste of heaven. We ordered the lightly fried mixed veggie appetizer. This came with lightly fried mushrooms, zucchini, cheese sticks, and squash. It was done perfectly, especially because it was lightly battered and not overdone. I ordered the Alaskan salmon. I was not expecting it to be as large as it was. It was about an inch thick, 4 inches wide and about 6 inches long. It was lightly seasoned with black pepper and lemon. YUM! My mom ordered the country fried stake. This was a decent size and was AMAZING!! The stake was so tender, the breading had so much flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like REAL potatoes, and the gravy was to die for. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the menu. The drink options are not on it, nor is there a separate menu for them. Also additional side options are not on there. If you want to substitute a side you have to ask what is available. Your sides are fries, or baked potato, You can pay a little extra for a fully loaded baked potato. This is on the menu and comes with every meal. The food was kind of pricey but well worth the price. I would DEFIANTLY return, and recommend DJ's to anyone that is looking for a nice calm atmosphere and good food...
Amazing food, service, and made us feel like family while eating try here. Will go again in the future for sure!
