The Beach Hut - Powell River

I was there and purchased a fish and chips meal 2 peice for 22 dollars, the fish was small and the fries were burnt

This is a totally cute little spot on the beach. We stopped on our way back form Lund a few times for ice cream. The service was good and the ice cream was excellent. Simple, good ice cream and a beautiful location. Thank you

Honestly what a come back. HUGE improvement from when I came a month ago. Customer service was amazing, man was friendly and welcoming. Milkshake was aesthetically pleasing and rustic.

We found the beach hut while stopping to wait for the ferry in Powell River. There is a great little kids park (Willingdon Beach Park) right behind the beach hut that makes stopping even more worth it. We had ice cream and a burger and was very impressed with the reasonable prices, good selection of ice cream and kid friendly scoop options. Perfect for families! We definitely will be stopping again the next time we are going through Powell River.

My husband and I split a two-piece fish and chips meal, which was more than enough for both of us. The coleslaw and tartar sauce were delicious, and the fish was cooked perfectly with a tasty dill seasoning. I personally felt it needed a bit more salt, as I usually do. The following day, we returned for some ice cream and enjoyed the excellent service. We would definitely dine here again. The cost of the two-piece meal was $20 plus GST, which we found to be a pretty decent price.
